Find Out More About This Long-Time Prosthodontist

Dr. Darryl J. Lung has been practicing at Miller Lung Dental Group since 1997. Originally from Hawaii, Dr. Lung received his DMD degree in 1986 and his certificate in the specialty field of Prosthodontics in 1988, both from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Thereafter, he remained at Tufts as a full-time Assistant Professor for eight years, responsible for the clinical development of third and fourth year students. In all, Dr. Lung taught 32 years, feeling the necessity to give back to his specialty field and alma mater, and in doing so, continues to keep himself abreast of all current and future techniques and technologies.

As a Prosthodontist, Dr. Lung specializes in full and partial oral rehabilitations and reconstructions. This involves the careful and precise diagnosis and treatment planning of a patient’s desires and merging them with today’s state of the art dental technology. Being able to coordinate and restore a patient’s function (occlusion/TMJ) and beauty (esthetics/cosmetics) is the ultimate goal. This usually involves the utilization of implants, crowns, bridges, complete and partial dentures, and all ceramic veneers or crowns. He also provides some general dentistry such as fillings and simple extractions to both adults and children.

Dr. Lung enjoys golf and reading, is an avid sports enthusiast, travels, and enjoys the time away from dentistry being with his wife and three children. He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
